White House defends Biden nominee who was arrested for retail theft

President Joe Biden is standing by his nominee for the leader of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Saule Omarova, despite new reports that Omarova was arrested in 1995 for theft.

News broke on Wednesday that Omarova was arrested for stealing four pairs of shoes, two bottles of cologne, two belts, and socks worth $214 from TJ Maxx.

While the arrest may seem trivial, the theft combined with Omarova’s radical views has led some to believe that President Biden should withdraw her nomination.

Despite what has been revealed about Omarova, the Biden administration is standing by her and even called her an “eminently qualified” candidate.

“Eminently qualified” means something radically different in the mind of President Biden if he believes Omarova is even slightly qualified to be Comptroller of the Currency.

Omarova is an unapologetic Marxist who was educated in the Soviet Union, and the proposals she has floated are beyond insane.

Omarova wants to effectively dissolve banks and transfer American assets to the federal reserve. Omarova doesn’t want to regulate banking; she wants to do away with it entirely and hand over everything to the state.

Saule Omarova is the most radical individual that the Biden administration has tried to appoint to a critical position yet. Republicans will do everything in their power to ensure Omarova is nowhere near the reins of power.
