VP Harris wants ‘assault weapons’ ban in wake of Uvalde mass shooting

It was only a matter of minutes in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas mass shooting that Democrats exploited the situation to renew their push for stricter gun laws, even though such laws have been proven to be largely ineffective.

One only has to look at the gun violence crime states in Chicago — home of the strictest laws on the books — to prove that point. But the Dems’ favorite move is to target “assault weapons,” and according to The Daily Wire, Vice President Kamala Harris wasted zero time in going there.

Harris made the call after attending a funeral service for the victims of the Buffalo, New York mass shooting that happened earlier this month.

“There’s a through line to what happened here in Texas, in Atlanta, in Orlando, what happened at the synagogues … this is a moment that requires all good people who are loving people to just say we will not stand for this. Enough is enough,” the vice president said.

She added: “We are not sitting around, waiting to figure out what the solution looks like.” That’s when she dropped the bomb.

“We know what works on this. It includes — let’s have an assault weapons ban,” Harris said, and later tweeted about.

While Dems like Harris exploit mass shootings to send their base into total hysterics, as they did on the abortion issue earlier this month, Republicans have offered actual “commonsense” solutions to the issue, including strengthening the security at schools across the country, and expanding mental health access.

Democrats will undoubtedly continue to exploit such tragedies to recoup lost support among the party’s base, which is especially critical as the November midterms inch closer.
