VP Harris refers to President Biden as ‘vice president-elect’ in speech

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris both seem to have an unusual amount of trouble addressing each other by the correct title, often using each others’ titles interchangeably.

According to ABC News, Vice President Harris recently spoke at this year’s Essence Fest, described as the largest celebration of African American culture, where her primary goal was to hype up Black voters to get out and vote in the upcoming midterms.

But it was what she said about her boss, again, that caught the attention of viewers at home later on, as during a story she told the audience about the 2020 election results, she labeled Joe Biden the “vice president-elect.”

“And so, my husband and I were staying in Delaware so we could be near the Vice President-elect — I mean, President-elect at the time. And I work out every morning. And so, he and I worked out together, and we were then going back to the house,” Harris said, as she described the day when the election results came in.

She added: “And he was like, ‘I’m going to walk a little bit more and cool down.’ And so, he started to walk. I went up to the house, and I went upstairs to go take a shower.”

Oddly enough, on several occasions since taking the White House, President Biden has referred to Harris as “President Harris,” so much so that it fed into conspiracy theories regarding who really might be in charge, and reinforced another theory regarding possible plans for Biden to eventually give his title to Harris, whether voluntarily or via removal.

Harris’ performance since taking the office of the vice presidency has been shaky, at best, leaving the Democratic Party in a peculiar position, as her polling numbers are nearly as bad as Biden’s, if not sometimes worse.

According to the New York Post, no less than three recent polls show Harris with disapproval ratings over 50%. “She seems completely useless. No one involved in this administration should be in the running,” one significant, anonymous Democratic donor told The Post.
