Tucker Carlson calls for investigation into Fauci’s potential role in COVID-19 pandemic

Dr. Anthony Fauci is finding himself treading into hotter, deeper water this week on the heels of his admission that the COVID-19 virus could be the result of a leak from a Wuhan, China lab, which marked a radical shift in his insistence last year that it emerged naturally from the animal kingdom.

According to Fox News, there are a growing number of those in the mainstream media who are now raising questions about the possibility of investigating Fauci to determine exactly what he knew about COVID-19 and more importantly, when.

Those questions are raised as a growing body of evidence is suggesting that the Wuhan lab either accidentally let the COVID-19 virus leak due to poor safety practices, or worse yet, the possibility that the virus was intentionally released.

As Washington Examiner writer Kaylee McGhee White penned in a recent op-ed, early on, if one suggested that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was responsible for what would soon become a deadly, global pandemic, one was immediately dismissed as a conspiracy nut.

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson has been at the forefront of exposing Fauci’s potential role in the COVID-19 pandemic. In a segment earlier this month, he spoke about science writer Nicholas Wade’s new body of evidence which strongly suggests that the Wuhan lab is absolutely responsible for the outbreak and implicates Fauci due to American taxpayer funding from the government agency where Fauci works ultimately making its way to the Wuhan lab to fund virus research.

Specifically, the research reportedly involved working on “gain of function,” meaning Chinese scientists were working on “improving” the pathogen to be able to have the ability to infect human cells.

“In a functional country, there would be a criminal investigation into Tony Fauci’s role in the Covid pandemic that has killed millions and halted our country, changing it forever. So why isn’t there a criminal investigation into Tony Fauci’s role in this pandemic?” Carlson said, according to Mediaite.

It should be noted that at this time, there exists no proof that Fauci was responsible for the COVID-19 outbreak, though, with recent developments and ongoing investigations into the root causes of the virus, there’s no telling what the world might learn in the coming weeks and months.

Thankfully, there are still a handful of journalists willing to dig deeper on the issue, with the hopes of discovering what led to the crippling of the American economy in order to prevent it from happening again.
