TN lawmaker introduces bill to send illegal migrants to Dem. leaders’ hometowns

Amid shocking reports of the Biden administration’s secret, late-night transport flights facilitating the release of migrants in to the country’s interior comes news that one Tennessee lawmaker is calling for some of those new arrivals to be resettled in the hometowns of President Joe Biden and White House press secretary Jen Psaki, among others.

According to Fox News, Republican state Rep. Bruce Griffey introduced a bill that would require illegal migrants to be moved to locales that might finally get the attention of high-profile Democrats and expose their hypocrisy when it comes to the true consequences on the ground of the open borders policies they champion.

“The Biden administration is quietly moving thousands of illegals to various states, including Tennessee, by putting them on planes and buses and transporting them in the middle of the night, and we should return them to their sender!” Griffey explained.

Delving further into the rationale behind his proposed measure, Griffey stated, “I imagine that if we relocated them to the backyards of those responsible for allowing the flood of illegal immigration across our border, then those with federal power might be more apt to secure the border and secure it quickly.”

The crux of Griffey’s argument is that those “responsible for our border crisis” should get a first-hand look at the negative effects of unfettered illegal immigration and that a good way to achieve that is to place significant numbers of migrants in areas such as Biden’s beloved resort town of Rehoboth Beach, Maryland, near Psaki’s roots in Greenwich, Connecticut, and in other enclaves favored by leaders on the left, including Palo Alto, California, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island.

Detailing why he selected the locations he did for his re-settlement proposal, Griffey declared, “We have lawlessness that is intentionally being allowed to happen to benefit powerful, entrenched, wealthy corporate interests, who want cheap labor at the expense of national security, safe communities, and low wage labor markets.”

In announcing his bill, Griffey referenced remarks made late last year by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in which the Republican leader said he was ready and willing to send migrants who arrived in his state on Biden’s transport flights north to Delaware so that the president can come face-to-face with the scenario he has orchestrated.

“If they’re going to come here, we’ll provide buses. I will send them to Delaware and do that,” said DeSantis, adding, “If [Biden’s] not going to support the border being secure, then he should be able to have everyone there.”

While it would certainly be fitting – and indeed instructive – for the cushy surroundings enjoyed by Democrat elites to be overrun with the challenges mass illegal immigration inevitably brings, it seems likely that the “not in my backyard” mentality with which they have long gotten away will continue to prevail.
