Texas AG files suit against Biden admin over scheduled termination of Title 42

With Title 42 scheduled to end on May 23, which will undoubtedly spike the current record-setting numbers of illegals crossing in to the United States under President Joe Biden’s failed administration, it was time for action.

According to The Daily Wire, leave it to Texas to do what needed to be done. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) filed a lawsuit this week against the Biden administration to halt the ending of Title 42, a Trump-era public health protocol that proved to be one of the most effective border control tools in use by the U.S. government.

Paxton argued simply that without Title 42, America will have a “completely open border,” which will certainly result in level of border chaos not seen before.

“The Defendants now seek to eliminate their Title 42 border-control measures, which are the only rules holding back a devastating flood of illegal immigration,” Paxton wrote.

He added: “But they failed to follow the Administrative Procedure Act in attempting this destructive rescission of Title 42. Without justification or concern for Texans, the Defendants unlawfully disregarded the APA’s notice-and-comment requirements, refused to consider numerous factors of crucial importance to their rulemaking, and laid bare the incoherence of their decision-making.”

“This is huge for my state. We’re already overwhelmed given the fact that the Biden administration is ignoring federal law and every other aspect of immigration. This is the only thing we have left,” the Texas AG said.

The idea of cutting Title 42 is so stupid, and so incredibly bad for America, that a growing list of Democrats have begun to speak out. One source told The Daily Wire that there has been increased “lobbying” going on behind the scenes in the Democratic Party to convince the Biden administration to at least extend the policy.

One can only hope and pray that the courts side with Texas on this one, or America is in for an even rougher ride over the next few years, at least.
