Texan Democrat representing hundreds of miles of border calls out Harris’s treatment of the border crisis

House Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar, (D-TX) took a swipe at Vice President Kamala Harris recently, calling her out for being uncooperative about border issues.

Fox News reported that the Texas Democrat, whose district covers hundreds of miles of U.S.-Mexico border, spoke to the New York Times about his frustrations.

Cueller said he has been repeatedly disappointed by his dealings with Harris, who has the entirety of the responsibility of the border under her care.

The moderate Democrat even reached out to Harris when it was discovered that she was visiting the border, months after being put in charge with the migrant surge earlier this year, but his call went unreturned.

“I say this very respectfully to her: I moved on,” Cuellar said. “She was tasked with that job, it doesn’t look like she’s very interested in this, so we are going to move on to other folks that work on this issue.”

According to Cuellar reaching President Joe Biden’s office is easier than reaching the vice president saying, “at least they talk to you.”

Harris’s insistence on dealing with the “root causes” of migration to the United States appears to have only served to make for a nice motto, and nothing else.

Border areas from the southern United States and the Rio Grande Valley area, in particular, is teeming with illegal activity, with drug cartels moving humans, drugs, and just about anything they wish, through the undefended border areas all while Harris has called herself an “advocate” for both legal and illegal immigration.
