Suddenly, Biden’s White House claims it really never wanted pandemic lockdowns

While millions of Americans knew from the get-go that pandemic-related lockdowns and mandates were foolish and prone to cause more harm than good, Democrats, including the Biden administration, insisted that it was in the best interest of public safety.

However, as the Mises Institute noted, there has been a subtle, but noticeable shift in pandemic-related language coming from the White House, and Democrats around the country, presumably as they finally realized that their dwindling polling numbers are taking huge hits as a result of their draconian pandemic measures.

Many believe that with the November midterms inching closer, and with Democrats predicted to take an absolute beating at the voting booth come November, it shouldn’t be surprising to see a radical shift in messaging as far as various pandemic mandates and restrictions are concerned.

When White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was recently asked about a bombshell study released by Johns Hopkins University that proved lockdowns were not only a ridiculously dumb idea, but that they also likely caused a mountain of irreparable harm, her response was shocking, to say the least.

Not only did Psaki do her best to dodge the results of the study, but she went on to actually blame lockdowns on former President Donald Trump in the process.

“We are not pushing lockdowns,” she insisted to reporters. “We’ve not been pro-lockdown—most of the lockdowns actually happened under the previous President.”

The sudden change in messaging was even more apparent this week as Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) proclaimed on Twitter that thanks to President Joe Biden and Democrats, the pandemic is nearing an end.

“Democrats’ plan to fight COVID is working – cases are down & vaccines are widely available. Now, it’s time to give people their lives back. With science as our guide, we’re ready to start getting back to normal,” he tweeted.
