Secret Service officer assigned to Bush family suddenly dies in training accident

Agents of the United States Secret Service who are assigned presidential duties are in the top echelon of American law enforcement, which is why it’s devastating when one of those agents loses his or her life.

Over the weekend, Fox News reported on an unbelievably tragic situation involving the death of one of America’s finest. Keith Mills, a 50-year-old Secret Service officer who was assigned to protect former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, lost his life during a training incident at the Bush family compound in Maine.

The late agent’s brother confirmed his death. An autopsy has already been performed but the exact cause of death has still not been released to the public, though it was noted that his passing was considered a line-of-duty event.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Mills served nearly two decades in the Secret Service, having joined the elite law enforcement agency in 2002.

But Mills’ entry into the world of law enforcement is even more impressive, as he began as a corrections officer with the York County Sheriff’s Office at the young age of 18. He would later serve as a reserve officer before joining the Kennebunkport Police Department in 1992, where he rose to the rank of sergeant before leaving to serve within the ranks of the Secret Service.

He was assigned to protect both former Bush presidents and their families at the Walker’s Point Bush compound in Kennebunkport, Maine.

Mills was reportedly loved and respected for his line of work and dedication to the job. Former President George W. Bush released a heartfelt statement upon learning of Mills’ untimely death.

“Laura and I were saddened by the sudden loss of Keith Mills,” Bush said in a statement. “Keith was a dedicated public servant and exemplary member of the United States Secret Service. My family had the good fortune of knowing Keith well, and now our thoughts are with Keith’s family – particularly his children. We join them in mourning the loss of a kind, funny, patriotic man.”

Even more importantly, Mills will be remembered as an outstanding father to his two children, Evan Mills and Avery Mills, who were described as the center of his life.

The Bush’s are no better than the Clinton’s…

    1. My thoughts exactly…..I wonder if it has anything to do with the Bush family’s corrupt activities?? Maybe the military wanted someone to go before the military tribunals and Mills was trying to protect them from this? Just a thought off the top of my head……of course the Deep State is very good at covering for one another…we may never know. In any event….my condolences to the family of Mr. Mills.

  6. so sorry for the loss of this officer. rest in peace my friend. you have more than earned it. may your family take comfort in the fact you were doing something you felt strongly about. time and GOD will heal their tears.

  7. Isn’t it strange the people around the Bush’s seem to die occasionally like over 3,000, and others.?

  8. Prayers for this family. Sounds strange that he died during a training incident. There is so much happening in our country that is not normal and is covered up.

  9. Condolences to his family and loved ones. Every human being should not be judged by others. He has completed his earthly journey. May he Rest In Peace

  10. Why omit the cause of the accident? Training on the Busch compound? Really? What type of Secret Service training is conducted on private property? ? Fire-arms? A story like this just invites conjecture…unless conjecture is better than the truth. WHAT HAPPENED?

  11. Sorry the guy died. Saw his picture and he looked like a coronary waiting to happen.

    1. Ignorance is bliss, so apparently you are happy anyway. This was an unprovoked tragedy, With the liberal media on the prowl, If there was even an infinite chance of Bush involvement there would be headlines, and calling for their heads.

    2. Very sorry this gentleman was killed, makes you wonder but we will never know. Pray for his family and friends. Seems like anyone that gets close to some people that have been there before don’t live long.

  12. Here is a small gift of the sacred words of a Jewish Warrior

    Blessed Is The Match

    Blessed is the match consumed
    in kindling flame.
Blessed is the flame that burns
in the secret fastness of the heart.
Blessed is the heart with the strength to stop
    its beating for honor’s sake.
    Blessed is the match consumed
    in kindling flame.
