Report: Hunter Biden under federal surveillance amid growing national security fears

Suspicions continue to mount that President Joe Biden is dangerously compromised and the nation — as a result — is at great risk due to the shady foreign business dealings and debauched lifestyle of his son Hunter, and according to reporter Paul Sperry, those concerns have now resulted in the latter being placed under federal surveillance.

The investigative journalist explained the situation in a series of recent tweets, writing, “U.S. counterintelligence officials tell me Hunter Biden has come under federal surveillance amid growing concerns his partnerships with CCP-tied figures – notably Che Fend, aka “Super Chairman” – could “compromise” the president or help Beijing gather U.S. intel through Hunter.”

Sperry continued, “U.S. counterespionage officials investigating alleged contacts between Hunter Biden and members of CFIUS during Chinese takeover of U.S. firm making automotive parts w/dual use technologies. CFIUS approved the sensitive 2015 deal, which had national security implications.”

News of this latest quandary stemming from the highly questionable business entanglements in which Hunter Biden has engaged over the years comes just as a report from the Washington Free Beacon broke about the fact that the Biden administration sold approximately one million barrels of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to a state-controlled Chinese gas firm with alleged financial ties to the president’s son.

As Daniel Turner of energy advocacy group Power the Future explained to the Free Beacon, in practical terms, Biden has essentially sold “raw materials to the Communist Chinese for them to use as they want,” despite the fact that “[w]e were assured Biden was releasing this oil to America so it could be refined for gasoline to drive down prices at the pump. So right of the bat, they’re just lying to the American people.”

Turner also made reference to the fact that Hunter Biden – through a private equity firm he co-founded, has had financial ties to an arm of the Chinese gas firm in question that go back several years, giving the entire scenario a stench of corruption, undue influence, and dirty dealing that seems to permeate the president’s family.

All of this comes as the Biden Treasury Department has drawn fire for changing the rules for processing financial document requests related to suspicious transactions with what some GOP lawmakers believe is the intent of running interference for Hunter Biden and the president.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, blasted the move last week, saying, according to Fox News, “the Biden administration changed the rules to severely restrict Congress’ access to suspicious activity reports in the dark of night with no explanation. We now know Hunter Biden and other Biden family members have racked up at least 150 suspicious activity reports for their shady foreign business deals.”

Comer’s fellow committee member, Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX), put things even more bluntly, saying, “It’s simple – Hunter Biden is a threat to our national security and Americans deserve to know if his business transactions put our country’s well-being at risk.” Whether the fruits of federal surveillance will ultimately provide those answers and help eliminate the danger, only time will tell.
