Rand Paul tells Sean Hannity he knows with ‘absolute certainty’ the NIH was involved in funding Wuhan lab

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) weighed in on new information about the funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology during an appearance on “The Sean Hannity Show” according to Breitbart News.

Paul was responding to new reporting from The Intercept that made the case that Congress should ban funding to the Wuhan lab.

The report clearly laid out information that showed “the NIH, Dr. Fauci, did fund the Wuhan lab and continues to fund it,” which was an issue of harsh contention between Paul and Fauci before Congress.

“We know for sure, with absolute certainty, that the NIH, Dr. Fauci, did fund the Wuhan lab and continues to fund it,” Paul said according to Breitbart.

“The newly released documents from The Intercept show that there’s another grant that goes 2020 to 2025. So, the money continues to flow to Wuhan.

“I forced a vote about a month ago in Senate, and we actually won unanimously no longer to fund the Wuhan Institute, no longer to fund this research in China, yet it hasn’t been signed by the president, it hasn’t been passed by the House yet.”

Americans have been questioning the role that taxpayer dollars might have played in the origin story of the virus that has caused the largest outbreak in modern history.

Paul has spearheaded the Congressional push to find out whether there was funding from the National Institute of Health that went toward the China based lab, and what the funding was used for.

There have also been questions about whether Fauci, who was not only the White House adviser on the pandemic but part of the NIH’s leadership, was intentionally lying to the American people about the NIH’s role in creating a highly transmissible viral strain of the coronavirus.
