Plot by two illegal aliens to commit mass shooting during July 4th celebration in Virginia foiled

Virginia law enforcement foiled a planned mass shooting on July 4th after an anonymous individual overheard a conversation between two illegal aliens and immediately reported it to the police. The suspects, 52-year-old Julio Alvarado-Dubon and 38-year-old Rolman Balacarcel, planned to shoot up a July 4th celebration in Richmond, Virginia.

The two suspects were charged with being non-U.S. citizens in possession of a gun.

Richmond Chief of Police Gerald Smith told the media, “A hero citizen picked up the phone and overheard a conversational there was a mass shooting being planned here in the city of Richmond, Virginia.”

The two individuals had two rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammunition stored in a residence in Richmond.

Chief Smith added that “We know what their intent was but we don’t have a motive.”

This case diverges from similar planned mass shootings as the suspect’s immigration status could through a wrench in the legal process. One of the suspects reportedly was deported several times and yet has been able to return to the United States.

Chief Smith pointed out that such a situation was “frustrating,” and this incident emphasizes the danger that our shoddy immigration poses to Americans.

Thankfully this particular shooting was prevented and the people responsible should be hailed as heroes. There is no telling how many Americans could have died had this plot not been exposed.
