Bob Saget, the beloved comedian, and actor who suddenly passed away at the age of 65 last weekend doesn’t appear to have died from drugs or suspicious circumstances, which is all too common a cause of death among Hollywood celebrities.
According to The Sun, the former Full House star was reportedly “tucked in bed” when he was discovered by Ritz-Carlton security personnel. TMZ reported that Saget “was found lying face-up on the bed, with his left arm across his chest, and his right arm lying beside him.”
The sheriff’s office added that they had quickly ruled out any foul play, and reported that narcotics were not found in the hotel room.
In addition, medical authorities believe that Saget could have suddenly died from a natural cause such as a heart attack or stroke, but the full results of an autopsy will not be available for up to 12 weeks.
The actor’s family issued several statements upon the news of Saget’s passing, recalling the wonderful person he was outside of his duties as a comedian and successful actor.
“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away,” the family said in a statement. “He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter.”
Members of the show which made Saget famous, Full House, released a joint statement on the star’s passing, saying that Saget was considered part of their family.
“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. And now we grieve as a family. Bob made us laugh until we cried,” the statement read. “Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly.
