In one of the most shocking media twists of the last couple of years, Nancy Pelosi finally faced some scrutiny on a major network TV interview. It shouldn’t be shocking to see mainstream journalists do their job, but it is.
The moment occurred on CBS’s 60 minutes. Anchor Leslie Stahl confronted Pelosi on her hardball tactics with the coronavirus relief bill calling her out as not “known as a person who compromises.”
“No, I am,” a flustered Pelosi responded. “I’ll compromise. We wanna get the job done. I’m mischaracterized by the Republicans that way, but that’s a tactic that they use. But, we know we want results for the American people.”
Fox reports on the interview:
Stahl then brought up the $900 billion coronavirus relief package that passed in December after President-elect Joe Biden had secured the election.
Pelosi said in the interview it was stalled because of Republican obstruction.
“Yours, too,” Stahl responded.
It must have caught Pelosi off-guard. For the entire Trump presidency, major Democrats have been treated with kid gloves by the media. But now the word is out. Maybe some of it has to do with her extreme speed with impeachment, compared to relief for ordinary Americans.

In any case, it was good to see Pelosi exposed as the partisan hack she is, especially on a much-watched program like “60 Minutes.”
