Marine officer who questioned Biden’s military leaders in viral video now in prison

Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, who went viral for calling out U.S. military leadership in the wake of the disastrous Afghanistan troop withdrawal under President Joe Biden’s watch, is now sitting in a military prison, according to Fox News

The news stunned many on social media who supported the career military officer for putting his career on the line in order to call out the obvious failure from Biden’s top military officials.

Scheller posted a number of videos in which he explained his situation and the risks he was willing to take in order to call attention to what he believed were command failures that ultimately led to the deaths of 13 U.S. service members.

In one of his latest videos, Scheller told his large base of supporters that he was issued a gag order by senior military officials who clearly wanted him to stop questioning their actions, even admitting that breaking the gag order would likely result in his imprisonment.

“What happens when all you do is speak truth and no one wants to hear it. But they can probably stop listening because… I’m crazy… right?” Scheller wrote at the end of his last post.  “Col Emmel please have the MPs waiting for me at 0800 on Monday. I’m ready for jail.”

Unfortunately for the U.S. Marine officer, that’s exactly what happened, as he’s currently sitting in a military brig in what was described as “pre-trial confinement.”

“The time, date, and location of the proceedings have not been determined. Lt. Col. Scheller will be afforded all due process,” a statement from the Training and Education Command indicated.

Scheller’s father defended his son’s actions in an interview with Task & Purpose, arguing that his son is being criminally punished simply for speaking hard truths.

“All our son did is ask the questions that everybody was asking themselves, but they were too scared to speak out loud,” Scheller’s father, Stu Scheller Sr. said. “He was asking for accountability. In fact, I think he even asked for an apology that we made mistakes, but they couldn’t do that, which is mind-blowing.”
