Many believe Gavin Newsom wants to take Biden’s spot in 2024

The Democratic Party has a massive problem on its hands as far as 2024 is concerned. With President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris both polling abysmally, with no end to the bad news in sight, the party needs a star.

According to the Washington Examiner, some believe that the new Democratic star could possibly be California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), and a number of recent moves Newsom has made are not without strategy and motive.

The Examiner’s David Freddoso wrote in an op-ed that Newsom would have quite a bit of explaining to do — concerning the state of the state he manages, California — and noted that it doesn’t take much to prove, on paper, that Newsom is not the best manager of states, let alone an entire nation.

“Newsom survived his scandal and beat a recall election going away last September, with 62% voting to keep him in office,” Freddoso wrote.

He added: “But aside from questions about his personal character, I think the key to understanding Newsom’s governorship is to look at the quiet foot-traffic election that’s going on between his state and other states. According to Census estimates, California lost the net population equivalent of Cleveland to domestic out-migration just last year.”

The writer went on to point out numerous other balls dropped by Newsom, and the state’s ridiculously high tax rate, and cost of living rates that are forcing out most lower and middle-class residents who can no longer afford to live there.

Newsom recently made a surprise drop-in at the White House — which just so happened to be at the very same time the president was overseas — and posed in some presidential-looking photos, many said.

Only time will tell if the party is forced to pick someone like Newsom, which is another hilarious example of how the left doesn’t have much in the way of follow-through, as they fought for years to keep “rich, white guys” off the ballot, yet they continue to elect them to all the most prominent positions.
