According to Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should be held responsible for the shooting death of Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6, 2021.

Fitton appeared on One America News to discuss Judicial Watch’s recent findings that Babbitt’s death, which took place inside the Capitol building, over the records regarding Babbitt’s shooting death that was being kept from Americans.

“Pelosi Should Be Held Accountable,” Fitton said during his interview after documents from a May 2021 FOIA lawsuit came after two FOIA requests from Judicial Watch to the Metropolitan Police Department were not adequately fulfilled.

During his interview, Fitton said that the killing of Babbitt, a 14 year veteran of the Air Force, was unjustified, and he cited some of the 532 pages of documents his organization was able to obtain from the DC Police.

“The identity of the shooter was kept secret by Congress as well as federal and local authorities for eight months until U.S. Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd went public to try to defend his killing of Ms. Babbitt,” Judicial Watch reported.

Amongst the documents was an Incident Report,” under “Public Narrative,” that was specific about details of Babbitt’s supposed actions, saying that she attempted to enter a secured area and was shot in the chest and later transported to a hospital.

However, under the “Internal Narrative” section there was an entirely different story about the officer in question discharging his service weapon and the shooting being investigated by internal affairs. Nothing about a breach of security by Babbitt was noted in JW’s report.
