Grounds for impeachment? Biden Ukraine scandal explodes

Ukraine is under constant threat of Russia’s military at the border between the two countries, as bad things for Ukraine can happen at any given time.

According to Breitbart writer Joel Pollak, while former President Donald Trump took unfair criticism from the press for withholding lethal military aid from Ukraine as he called for investigations into corruption — an aid package the country wasn’t even aware it was receiving — it appears as if President Joe Biden’s administration froze a massive lethal aid package for Ukraine just days before his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

As Politico reported, a lethal aid package, to the tune of roughly $100 million worth of vital defense equipment for Ukraine, was temporarily frozen in the days leading up to Biden’s “summit” with Putin — a move that many are alleging was purposeful in order to please America’s adversary.

As Pollak pointed out, the Biden administration didn’t deny the allegation that a lethal aid package was frozen but quickly attempted to divert the subject by explaining that Ukraine had just received a $150 million U.S. aid package that also had lethal components, though that was reportedly a separate package altogether.

“The idea that we have held back security assistance to Ukraine is nonsense. Just last week—in the run-up to the U.S.-Russia Summit—we provided a $150 million package of security assistance, including lethal assistance,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.

Pollak warned that Biden’s seeming concession to Russia poses a grave danger to Ukraine, a top U.S. ally, writing, “Reports suggest that the Biden administration may have canceled the new aid after Russia ‘announced it would draw down troops stationed near Ukraine’ before the summit with Biden. But if Putin brings the troops back, future aid could arrive too late.”

The frozen aid package was reportedly assembled at the behest of the U.S. National Security Council, as top military and intelligence officials have grown increasingly weary of Russia’s continued military build-up on Ukraine’s border.

Included in the vital aid package are lethal components such as short-range air defense systems, anti-tank systems, and other arms-related items — all crucial for Ukraine to stand a fighting chance at defending its country should Russia decide to proceed with an attack.

Heaven forbid Russia actually launch an attack on the U.S. ally while it’s temporarily militarily weakened thanks to Biden’s actions. Let’s just say that Trump was impeached, twice, for far less.
