Graham wants Biden impeached over ‘criminally negligent’ handling of border crisis

Former President Donald Trump was impeached, twice, by Democrats who weaponized the process. President Joe Biden, however, has come much closer to actual impeachable offenses, including his gross mishandling of a number of issues his administration has faced since taking office.

According to The Daily Wire, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) recently told Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro that he believes that Biden should face impeachment over the way he’s botched the immigration crisis at the southern U.S. border, adding that he thinks the Biden administration is “criminally negligent” for creating an open-border situation that will likely encourage — if it hasn’t already — would-be terrorists to enter the country.

The South Carolina Republican interviewed with Pirro shortly after his return from visiting the U.S.-Mexico border near Yuma, Arizona, which is one of the top entry points for migrants and illegal border crossers.

Graham hit on a number of issues that he believes the Biden administration is solely responsible for, including not only the terrorism threat, but the seemingly free reign that Mexican cartel drug-runners have now that they can cross the border with much less concern than they had when Trump was in the White House.

“There’s been 100% increase in fentanyl seizures at the Yuma sector alone. Our borders are completely open, they’re porous, people are pouring in, drugs are pouring in,” Graham told Pirro.

He added: “Here’s what I worry about: Terrorists getting in the middle of this group and killing a bunch of us,” while reminding viewers of the botched U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan that resulted in potentially tens of thousands of weakly-vetted Afghan refugees coming to the United States.

“He should be impeached over this,” Graham said, referencing the out-of-control crisis at the border, which he witnessed first-hand, unlike the president. “This is dereliction of duty and a bunch of Americans are going to get killed if we don’t change our policies quickly.”

Graham’s remarks echoed those of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), who has persistently sounded the alarm on what’s really happening on the ground, at the southern U.S. border.

“The Biden administration has completely abandoned all the people who live on the border, and they’ve abandoned people in the state of Texas,” Abbott said over the weekend.
