Fox News’ Brit Hume says ‘deteriorating’ Biden might not even finish his first term

Poor presidential performance aside, for months now many have questioned how President Joe Biden can make it through another three years, given his very obvious reduction in cognitive abilities, likely as a result of age-related cognitive decline.

According to Mediaite, one veteran of the journalism world, Fox News contributor and former Fox host Brit Hume, recently opined on Biden’s political future, telling host Bret Baier that he doesn’t believe the 79-year-old president will even finish out his first term, let alone run again, which was announced earlier this week.

“I don’t think it’s at all clear that he intends to run again, but I do think as a political matter, you have to say that,” Hume said, referencing a recent announcement that Biden intends to make a 2024 run to keep the White House.

Hume added: “In fact, I think the thing we have to watch is the question of whether he serves out his first term. He’s clearly deteriorating, he’s clearly senile, and his health is — despite his doctor’s claims to the contrary — you know, when you’re falling downstairs and so on, as he did climbing the stairs to Air Force One, that’s worrisome.”

He’s not the only one who believes Biden is facing real, medical issues, as Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), a former White House physician under multiple administrations, has repeatedly called for Biden to take the same cognitive abilities test administered to his predecessors.

According to a Fox News report, Jackson made clear that he believes Biden is suffering from age-related cognitive decline, which he believes at the very least poses a national security risk.

“Nobody from the press is saying … he should be evaluated for his cognitive ability or lack thereof,” Jackson said.

He added: “And so I just thought it was a huge double standard with regards to President Trump and Biden. … If they want to be consistent, they should be jumping up and down right and demanding that Vice President Biden get a cognitive test done.”

Jackson has gone as far as penning a letter, along with a group of House GOP lawmakers, directly to the president, imploring him to take the cognitive test to assure the American public he’s fit for office. So far, the White House hasn’t obliged.
