Former Trump admin official: President agreed with those who wanted Pence hanged

Members of the Democrat-led House Jan. 6 committee made headlines this week by claiming that former President Donald Trump expressed support for the notion that former Vice President Mike Pence deserved to be hanged for aiding in the certification of the electoral votes that put Joe Biden in office, and one former Trump administration official has stepped forward with supposed confirmation of that assertion, as the Washington Examiner reports.

Former White House communications director Alyssa Farah, appearing Friday on a CNN panel, purported to corroborate the highly sensationalistic claim, saying, “I can confirm – I heard from somebody with firsthand knowledge that [Trump] agreed with the sentiment that they should hang Mike Pence.”

Farah was speaking to comments made by Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), during a prime-time, televised hearing of the House committee in which the congresswoman declared, “Aware of the rioters’ chants to ‘hang Mike Pence,’ the president responded with this sentiment: ‘Maybe our supporters have the right idea. Mike Pence deserves it.’”

Continuing the narrative, Farah hyperbolically added, “Just to underscore further, though, these chants and the push from him that, you know, Mike Pence was an enemy, that wasn’t just an attack on a vice president for being disloyal.”

“What he was truly instigating with this Capitol riot was the potential attack on the line of succession. It wasn’t just Mike Pence – it was also Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi whose life was at risk that day,” Farah stated.

Despite Farah’s television claims and Cheney’s declarations at Thursday’s hearing, no evidence has been presented by those officially charged with probing the Jan. 6 unrest to support the claim about Trump’s supposed belief that Pence should have faced harm.

Indeed, Trump himself issued a statement on Friday via his Truth Social platform vehemently denying the aforementioned allegations, as the New York Post noted.

“I NEVER said, or even thought of saying, ‘Hang Mike Pence.’ This is either a made up story by somebody looking to become a star, or FAKE NEWS!” Trump declared.

Though it is clear that Cheney and the House committee are set on milking their insurrection narrative for as long as they can, desperately hoping to eliminate Trump from the political scene once and for all, as the Washington Free Beacon reported, ratings for their supposedly blockbuster prime-time TV spectacle made it quite clear that Americans en masse are occupied by far more pressing concerns – such as affording a fill-up and buying groceries in the tanking Biden economy.
