Even as more Democrats join Republicans in essentially begging President Joe Biden and his administration to not let Title 42 — the Trump-era public health protocol used effectively to mitigate the immigration crisis at the southern U.S. border — end on May 23, the White House is being quite stubborn.
According to The Hill, that stubbornness is beginning to backfire in humiliating fashion, as on Monday, the Louisiana-based federal Judge Robert Summerhays ruled that he will not allow the protocol to end. The order is temporary but is a result of a 20-state coalition taking legal action to make sure it stays in place.
Notably, the part of the hearing that wasn’t made available to the public revolved around the terms of the temporary blockage of the pandemic-era policy from expiring, as the summary of the hearing stated that t“the parties will confer regarding the specific terms to be contained in the Temporary Restraining Order and attempt to reach agreement.”
As a result, the actual order hasn’t been issued as of yet.
BREAKING NEWS: In a lawsuit originally filed by Missouri, Louisiana, and Arizona, our Office just obtained a temporary restraining order to keep Title 42 in place. This is a huge victory for border security, but the fight continues on.

Democrats, on the other hand, have maintained that Trump’s Title 42 policy was part of his “evil” tactics toward illegal immigrants.
“The Trump-initiated Title 42 was part of his anti-immigrant hate and fear agenda that used the pandemic as an excuse to deny asylum seekers their legal rights to due process. It must end now,” said Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ).
However, over the past several weeks, a growing list of Democrats have come out against the White House ending the policy, with some reports that there has been intensive lobbying behind the scenes to convince the administration to, at the very least, extend Title 42 until another solution can be determined.
Only time will tell what Biden’s woke White House ultimately does, but if they let the policy expire, America is about to experience a new kind of illegal immigrant hell that it hasn’t ever seen before.
