Federal Judge halts Biden administration’s planned repeal of Title 42

U.S. District Court Judge Robert Summerhays has blocked President Biden’s plan to end Title 42, a key measure that forces immigration officials to return illegal aliens to Mexico. Judge Summerhays’ actions have potentially averted a monumental crisis.

When President Biden announced he would be ending Title 42, Arizona, Louisiana, and Missouri all launched a lawsuit to save the Trump-era regulation.

Those states successfully argued that the federal government had not made a plan to compensate for the influx of illegal immigrants and the impacts that they would have on each state’s economy.

Judge Summerhays wrote in his decision that the plaintiffs had “established a substantial likelihood of success based on the CDC’s failure to comply with the rulemaking requirements.”

As a result of this decision, Title 42 remains the law of the land while the case makes its way through the court system.

Title 42 is one of the last provisions that border patrol has to effectively expel illegal immigrants. Without Title 42, all illegal immigrants will be detained and inevitably released into the United States.

If the Biden administration succeeds in repealing Title 42, the disastrous situation at the border will go critical.

Thanks to President Biden’s spineless leadership, the southern border is completely open, and the influx of illegal immigrants essentially constitutes an invasion.

While Judge Summerhays’s decision was the right one, this fight isn’t over until President Biden is removed from office. Until then, Americans must continue to demand that the border be secured, and the flood of illegal immigrants be dammed.
