Couple comes forward with reports of seeing Gabby Petito on Aug 27

A couple has come forward with testimony about seeing Gabby Petito alive and involved in an argument with Brian Laundrie and wait staff at a restaurant on Aug 27.

Nina Celie Angelo says she saw the couple at a Jackson Hole Wyoming restaurant in late August while she and her boyfriend, Matthew England, were traveling through the area for a wedding according to Fox News.

“I have chills right now,” Nina Celie Angelo told Fox News Digital Wednesday. “It’s crazy because it wasn’t just like we passed them on the street — it was a full-blown incident.”

The couple was at Merry Piglets, a Tex-Mex restaurant, between 1 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 27 when Laundrie created a fuss by arguing with the waitress.

“Yes, we can confirm Gabby and Brian were in Merry Piglets…We have already notified the FBI and they are aware. We are letting them do their jobs and we are respecting Gabby’s family and have nothing further to comment,” the restaurant said.

Angelo posted details about the incident on her Instagram, but said she didn’t put it together that it was the same person as in the news until after the police bodycam footage from Utah came out last week.

While the couple couldn’t hear the details of the conversation, they were left with the impression the argument was over the bill and Petito appeared “visibly upset” with Laundrie.

The New Orleans native and her boyfriend, a financial adviser, realized they had witnessed the couple in an altercation and it was a scary revelation, according to Angelo, “He goes, ‘Nina, that was the couple fighting at the restaurant,’” Angelo said. “And it stopped me in my tracks. I felt like the blood left my body. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I completely forgot about that incident.’”

“I would bet $10 million, I’m 1,000% sure that was him and that was her,” England said.
