CNN reports Kamala Harris could be nominated to the Supreme Court

Vice President Kamala Harris could be in line for a Supreme Court nomination, according to rumors circulating at the White House.

The Daily Wire reported that Harris has had a number of issues finding her position in the administration, and according to a CNN piece on Sunday, Biden might have new plans for her.

The piece headlined “Exasperation and dysfunction: Inside Kamala Harris’ frustrating start as vice president,” cited dozens of officials who had negative things to say about the entire situation.

“Defenders and people who care for Harris are getting frantic. When they’re annoyed, some pass around a recent Onion story mocking her lack of more substantive work, one with the headline, ‘White House Urges Kamala Harris To Sit At Computer All Day In Case Emails Come Through.’

However, deep in the recent CNN story about the vice president’s constant problems in her position as the first female vice president is a comment that has caught much attention:

“When they’re depressed, they bat down the Aaron Sorkin-style rumor that Biden might try to replace her by nominating her to a Supreme Court vacancy,” the article said according to the Examiner. That chatter has already reached top levels of the Biden orbit, according to one person who’s heard it.”

The “rumor” was also reported on by The Daily Mail who cited Harris’ ever-spiraling approval rating as further support of the potential change:

“Harris’ approval rating has plunged even further than Biden’s in recent months, with rumors swirling that the president is considering appointing her to the Supreme Court as a backdoor method of selecting a new VP.”

Despite there not being any current openings on the Supreme Court, this could still be cause for concern among conservatives due to the potential pursuance of court-packing by Democrats which is currently being studied by a commission created by Biden earlier this year.
