Cotton: Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) announced that he believes the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade.

Senator Cotton made his prediction during an address to attendees of the Federalist Society conference that was held this week in Washington D.C.

The Supreme Court is set to hear a case in December that could very well overturn the landmark ruling that legalized abortion nationwide.

Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Center could very well topple the nearly 50-year-old ruling. The prospects of that happening have sent the left into a panic.

Former President Trump managed to swing the Supreme Court to a conservative majority. If his justices topple Roe v. Wade, it will enshrine Trump’s legacy forever.

Republicans as a whole seem optimistic as the Supreme Court’s 6-3 conservative majority will heavily favor the pro-life side of the aisle.

All of that ignores the already dubious constitutional arguments around the right to abortion. Constitutional conservatives have argued for decades that the right to an abortion was created out of thin air by activist justices.

Not only could we see the Constitution’s integrity bolstered, but America’s most horrific sin could be cleansed.

The wanton slaughtering of babies that has been allowed to spread for the past half-century should never have been tolerated. It is time to right the wrongs of the past.
