BREAKING: FBI Goes After Nancy Pelosi’s Son In Bribery And Fraud Probe

The son of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is part of of a bribery and fraud probe involving a San Francisco property — and “smoking gun” documents could mean this is the first time he gets charged.

This is the sixth time Paul Pelosi Jr. has been involved in an FBI probe, the Daily Mail reported.

This time, the 53-year-old Pelosi Jr. is suspected of writing a $1,500 check to a charity run by San Francisco building inspector Bernie Curran, the Golden Gate Youth Rugby Association.

The payment was allegedly made so Curran would waive violations against a notoriously seedy San Francisco hotel, the Daily Mail first reported last Friday.

On Tuesday, the outlet reported documents showed Pelosi Jr. listed himself as the owner of the hotel.

The payments were supposed to be for building permits, but prosecutors allege they were actually bribes to Curran through a third-party named Rodrigo Santos, a so-called “permit expediter” and former president of the San Francisco Building Inspection Commission.

Both Curran and Santos are facing federal charges for the scheme. Pelosi Jr. and at least three of his business associates were interviewed as part of the investigation.

In charging documents, an individual referred to only as “Client 9” seemed to fit Pelosi Jr’s description.

In text messages with Santos, “Client 9” discussed violations on a “property located on the 1300 block of Utah Street,” which would match the location of the hotel.

“I will forward the address to Curran,” Santos wrote in text messages to “Client 9,” adding, “He will abate it.”

Santos was straightforward about how the violations would be abated: “Please drop off a check payable to Golden Gate Youth Hockey Association for $1k. Bernie’s nonprofit.” He would subsequently correct himself to note it was the Youth Rugby Association.

“Please drop off the Bernie check this morning,” Santos said.

“With pleasure,” responded “Client 9.” The club never deposited the check, however, and it’s unclear why “Client 9” wrote a $1,500 check instead of a $1,000 one.

On Tuesday, the Daily Mail reported Pelosi Jr. had signed documents listing him as the hotel’s owner and “the party legally and financially responsible for this proposed construction activity,” agreeing to “abide by all applicable laws and requirements that govern Owner-Builders as well as employers.”

He also applied for one of the building permits Curran and Santos had been indicted for, yet more evidence Pelosi Jr. was “Client 9.”

As the Daily Mail had previously reported, Pelosi Jr. has been involved in five companies that had been targets of federal frauds, including one which was accused of testing drugs on individuals without Food and Drug Administration authorization and another which issued him $2.8 million worth of stock alleged to be “fraudulent.”
