President Joe Biden stooped toa new low on Friday when the president publicly excoriated the horse-mounted Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents who were on patrol at the southern U.S. border and accused of “whipping” Haitian migrants.
Though the whipping claims have been thoroughly debunked and explained in the days after the viral photos emerged, Biden is clearly exploiting the moment to push misinformation. According to a Fox News exclusive, a number of CBP agents are expressing their anger at the president.
“Would you go to work and do your best knowing that if you do your boss is going to ‘make you pay’?” one agent told Fox News. “I’m dumbfounded and don’t know what to say.”
The agent’s comment referenced Biden’s threat on Friday when the president decided to lie to the public about what had happened to further whatever anti-police agenda he’s working on.
“To see people treated like they did, horses barely running over, people being strapped – it’s outrageous,” Biden said. “I promise you, those people will pay. There will be an investigation underway now and there will be consequences. There will be consequences.”
Biden’s words have caused an uproar in the law enforcement community and, specifically, the Border Patrol agent community, which is made up of some of the finest men and women who work overtime in the worst conditions imaginable to make sure the rest of the country sleeps peacefully at night.
“I see the administration wants to fry our agents. He just started a war with Border Patrol,” another unnamed CBP agent reportedly told Fox News.
National Border Patrol Council head Brandon Judd slammed Biden’s “completely and totally outrageous” comments about the situation, adding that he believes the president is “playing politics with Border Patrol agents’ lives.”
It’s genuinely sad and upsetting that the United States president would use the moment, which again has been thoroughly and logically explained, to attack our law enforcement officers. But that seems to be par for the course in Biden’s America, unfortunately.
