Biden’s bizarre moment during meeting: ‘Sir, there is something on your chin’

President Joe Biden is certainly not a stranger to awkward moments, but a bizarre incident on Friday might just be the strangest one yet for the 78-year-old president.

According to the Washington Examiner, while the president sat through a virtual meeting with a group of governors from various western states, discussing the topic of wildfires, he was handed a note by an aide which simply read “Sir, there is something on your chin.”

In a casual manner, the president proceeded to not only wipe the yellow mark off of his chin but making the situation even weirder was the fact that Biden appeared to eat whatever it was that was hanging out on his chin for the first 10 minutes of the meeting with the governors.

Surely, whatever was on his chin — mustard? — was obvious enough that Biden was able to identify that the foreign substance was safe to eat, as he appeared to closely inspect the substance after he was handed the note.

Reporters were able to capture a photograph of the notecard that delivered the message to the president.

The president is apparently quite fond of notecards, as a number of photographs have been captured since he entered the White House showing him referring to notecards to remember which reporters to call on and which Democratic talking points to promote.

While some of his defenders have argued that they prefer a “prepared” president to someone like former President Donald Trump, who shot from the hip most of the time, others believe that the notecards are the only item keeping the easily-confused president from completely losing track of all time and space.
