President Joe Biden raised some eyebrows last week when he told Vice President Kamala Harris, “I love you.”
The president’s comments came as the two appeared during a Democratic National Committee event on Friday, Fox News reported.
“Hi, Kamala. I love you,” Biden said during the event. “You always have my back. You’re really amazing. You’re the best partner I could imagine.”
Harris replied: “I do.”
According to the DNC, the exchange highlighted the great “team” that Biden and Harris supposedly make:

But many social media users weren’t impressed.
“Joe Biden telling Kamala Harris ‘I love you’ had got me torn between ‘wildly creepy’ and ‘beyond phony’. These people can’t ever get it right,” one user tweeted.

“Gross. Fake and gross,” another added.

Still another called the exchange “nauseating.”
'Hi, Kamala. I love you': Biden praises Kamala for being the 'best partner I could imagine' in nauseating message at DMC event as they are both hit with historically low approval ratings 🤢👎🏾

They were far from the only people to feel that way.
This lands the same way as a couple posting “I love you” messages to each other publicly on social media.

I especially loved her last affirmation of love, where she referred to him as an old white racist in front of the entire country, as if millions weren’t watching, and now they’re just besties! Get real….

Earlier in the week, Biden made a point of saying that Harris will be his running mate once again in 2024.
“She’s going to be my running mate,” Biden said Wednesday. “I think she’s doing a good job.”
But plenty of Americans don’t seem to agree that the vice president is doing “a good job.”
According to the RealClearPolitics polling average, Harris’ favorability rating currently stands at a meager 37.3 percent, compared to a 53 percent unfavorability rating.
“Harris’ net favorability is slightly lower than that of former Vice President Mike Pence at this point in their respective tenures, and it’s well under the ratings of three previous vice presidents,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
