80-year-old New York man found dead with the words ‘I touch little girls’ written on his body

New York City police are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man found dead in his Staten Island apartment building with the words “I touch little girls” scrawled on his body, according to The New York Post

Robert Raynor was found dead just after 9:30 a.m. Monday inside the first-floor hallway of 256 Corson Ave. in Tompkinsville, the Post reported.

An upstairs neighbor told the publication that he was awakened early on Monday morning by a “ruckus” in the building, but that he eventually fell back asleep:

“It was so loud, I could hear it over the air conditioner,” said Isaac Williams, 40. “I said, ‘What the hell are they doing down there?’ It was loud banging, like ‘boom, boom, boom.’ Like people were wrestling or someone was throwing somebody around.”

Williams said despite falling back asleep when he went downstairs that morning, he found his neighbor’s body in the hallway.

“The next morning I was coming down to get some cigarettes, and I just happened to look back in the hallway and I saw him lying there,” he said. “My first instinct was he was drunk and he’d just fallen — even though I’d never seen him drunk.  But then I just looked. I didn’t get too close and I was looking at his stomach and chest to see if they were moving.”

The victim was wearing only pants that were pulled down below his waist with his arms above his head as if he’d been dragged, the witness said.

On Raynor’s chest were the words “I touch little girls,” according to police, and a second source said that the words “I take dolls in my room for girls age 1-5” was written on his stomach, while “I touch” was scrawled on his right foot in what Williams described as appearing to be “black magic marker.”Williams described the deceased as frail and someone who “could barely walk” and “hardly ever came outside.”

Raynor had 24 arrests to his name, but his record did not suggest a history of pedophilia, sources said. Both Williams and the younger Raynor however, said that the deceased lived with three female relatives, one of which was approximately in her 30s and the others children though the exact relationship between the group was unclear.
